In 1903 the Berar region of the state was separated and merged into the Central Provinces of British India, to form the Central Provinces and Berar. The last Nizam of Hyderabad state, Mir Osman Ali Khan crowned in 1911, had been the richest man in the world in his time.

His Exalted HighnessNawab Mir Sir Osman Ali Khan Siddiqi, Asaf Jah VII GCSI GBE, was the last Nizam of the princely state of Hyderabad, the largest princely state in British India. He ascended the throne on 11th August, 1911, at the age of 25 and ruled Hyderabad between 1911 and 1948, until it was annexed by India.

He was considered as one of the most richest person in the world at those times with a net worth of a heart-throbbing $236 billion.
