Answer:

Literary sources of the medieval period include manuscripts; "stories, poems, biographies" of different rulers and folk tales that have passed from generation to generation. The sources composed by the historians in the  courts of the kings give an insight in only the economic and military conditions. For the social conditions prevailing in everyday life of people accounts of travellers and other sources need to be considered.

Some examples are: Ramavatharam written by Kamban Chanchamma, Majnu-Laila

The "later medieval period" is divided into 2 parts: the "Sultanate period" and the "Mughal period". More literary sources are available for the latter.
