Mathura was on of the ancient place known for its arts.

the structure of tree ,priest etc more interested by the people . they work on rock.

During the first century AD, Gandhara and Mathura School of Art flourished mainly during reign of Kushana emperor Kanishka.

Mathura School had developed indigenously. The main traditional centre of production in this school was Mathura, and other important centres were Sarnath and Kosambi.

The material used in this school was the spotted red sandstone. This art reached its peak during the Gupta period in 6th or 7th century.

this art reached from Gupta period in 6th and 7 th century. the Mathura school images included those of Buddha, Bodhisattva, Vishnu, Shiva , yakshas, yakshinis,j inas etc. representing its vitalityand assimilative character as a result of the religious zeal of Brahmanism, jainism and Buddhism.......
