About Narmada basin

Narmada is the 5th longest in sub-continent. It is also called the Life line of Madhya Pradesh due to its huge contribution.

Three features of Narmada

  • River Narmada originates in the Amarkantak hills in Madhya Pradesh. It flows through a rift valley.
  • It flows in the west and drain in the Arabian Sea.
  • The river drains the parts of the Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat . While flowing towards the weast, river creates many picturesque location such as Duadhar Falls.

About Krishna Basin

Krishna river originates from the Western Ghats near Mahabaleshwar. Krishna river is around 1,400 km in length. It is found in Maharashtra , Telangana , Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

Three features of Krishna

  • It is the Holy river of Hindu.
  • It originates from Spring near Mahableshwar , it flows around 1,400 km and drains in Bay of Bengal.
  • Some of its tributaries are Tungabhadra , Koyana , Ghatprabha , Mushi and Bhima.
