The concept of natural selection was proposed by Darwin
Acc to him nature chooses the organism to survive. eg : Darwin finches in which due to increase in industrialisation the dark finches were benefitted to escape from the predators whereas white can't escape.
Thus theory is based on survival of the fittest in nature.
