Answer:
a) Open circulatory systems (evolved in insects, mollusks and other invertebrates) pump blood into a hemocoel with the blood diffusing back to the circulatory system between cells. Blood is pumped by a heart into the body cavities, where tissues are surrounded by the blood.
b) Yogurt and curd are made using fermentation of milk by bacteria such as Streptococcus and Lactobacillus species. Alcoholic beverages like beer, wine, brandy, whisky etc are made using fermentation of grains, grapes, rice etc by yeast. Bread is also made by fermenting dough using yeast.
c) If there will be no tubular reabsorption in the nephrons of kidneys, the useful substances like minerals and excess water will be eliminated from the body along with the urine. Tubular reabsorption is a selective reabsorption that allows the important components to get absorbed back into capillaries for the body to use them further.

e) Method of confirmation of presence of oxygen is given below -
- Hydrilla experiment to check the presence of photosynthesis and oxygen gas is down by the help of inverted funnel, test tube and beaker containing water and Hydrilla plant.
- Water in test tube is pushed into the beaker by the release of gas which is oxygen.
- To check its presence, test tube with accumulated gas is removed by closing its mouth with finger or thumb.
- Further, glowing stick is inserted into the test tube filled with gas. The stick will burst into flames in presence of oxygen, thus confirming its presence.
