Answer:

The Peninsular plateau is a tableland composed of the old crystalline, igneous and metamorphic rocks. It was formed due to the breaking and drifting of the Gondwana land and thus, making it a part of the oldest landmass. The plateau has broad and shallow valleys and rounded hills.

Answer:

Peninsular Plateau---

The peninsular plateau is located towards the south of the Northern plains. It is triangular in shape and formed by hard igneous and metamorphic rocks. The plateau is surrounded by hill range on all the three sides.

The west of plateau is bordered by the western ghats, and on the eastern side by the Eastern ghats. The Aravallis, the Vindhyas, the Satpuras and the Rajmahal hills are situated in the north.

The river Narmada divides the plateau into two parts:

1. The Malwa Plateau
