Rani Durgavati was the Gond Queen. She was the wife of Daalpat Shah. She is famous in Indian History for defeating the army of Baz Bahadur and bravely fighting against the Mughal Army. Rani Durgavati was born on 5th October 1524.

Banjaras are a nomadic community of people, who are found in the northwestern belt of the Indian subcontinent, from Afghanistan to the state of Rajasthan. They are also variously called as Gor, Lambani, Vanjara and Gormati. Anthropologists have said the banjaras have origins in Afghanistan.
