THE ROWLATT ACT (1919)
The act failed to satisfy the Indian Nationalist and large scale protests started. In this situation British Government passed ROWLATT ACT in 1919. Under this Act they had the right to impirsion any person without trail. This created large scale resentment and protests all over the country. The Government resorted to firing and lathi - charge at several places against the protestors.
