Adi Shankaracharya was born to Shivaguru and Aryamba , a Brahmin couple in Kerala ,788AD . He wrote copious commentaries on the vedic canon. He studied all the four vedas when he was still a child.At 7, he mastered all the holy shastra and upanishads.

Adi Shankara (also called Shankaracharya; 788–820) was an Indian religious philosopher. He was born in Kalady, in the Indian state of Kerala. He traveled to many parts of Ancient India. Shankara wrote many books in Sanskrit.
