It was the practice of buying slaves and asking them to work in different places. During the 17 th century when France had colonized many of the countries near the carrabien, and these countries had less slaves to work on their fields and other jobs, the French wanted their resources so in order to fix this problem,French men used to port to Africa , buy some slaves from the local chieftain and then give these slaves to the carrabien countries and in return they used to get resources like tobacco from them. This was know as the slave triangle
