Stalin's real name is Joseph Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili and was born in 1879.  his father was a shoemaker and his father died when Josef was 11 years. his mother is a washerwoman. 
Stalin was a short man and he was 5 feets tall. Stalin's mother wants that he becomes a clergyman.  

Joseph Stalin was the head of the soviet union from 1920s to his death in 1953.He was a prominent ruler during the Bolshevik revolution in 1917 and slowly rose to prominence. After the death of Lenin in 1924, Stalin who was the general secretary became the premier of the Soviet Union.He had strong belief in Socialism and exercised rule with a stern hand.
