The following steps were taken by Hitler to destroy the democracy of German that are;
1) January 30, 1933, president Hindenburg offered the chancellorship the highest position in the cabinet of ministers to Hitler.
2) the 'fire decree' of 28th February 1933 suspended civic rights  like freedom of speeches , press assembly that had been granted by the Weimer constitution
3) the communists were sent to the concentration camps
4)3rd march 1933 the enabling act was passed
5)this act gave Hitler all powers to rule by decree . all poltical parties and trade unions were banned except for the Nazi parties and its affiliates
