There are different types of soils mainly red soil,black soil, alluvial soil,desert soil, mountain soil and laterite soils. These are 6 different types of soils and all the soils are suitable for different different crops.For instance,we can say black soil is required for the crop production of cotton as this crop is well known for holding the moisture of soil.Laterite soil is suitable for the production of crops like tea,coffee,rubber, coconut,etc. Similarly all types of crops needs the particular soil for their growth.
