• The government has started a major development road project linking Delhi to Kolkata to Chennai to Mumbai to Delhi by Six-lane Super Highways.
• The general road network shape is somehow more or less as a quadrilateral shape so, it is called as Golden Quadrilateral Highway as it connects and links the four major cities.
• It aims to improve link and connection between the mega cities. It has total length of "5846 km".
