Unifying role of languages
Explanation:
- The language is highly diverse – multiple languages can accomplish the same functional goals in different ways – so they are quickly understood. Language is also a very significant issue for the unity of culture and national identity
- Languages and cultural capabilities bind communities and have the potential to mitigate tensions. As Mandela famously said: "It goes to his brain when you speak with a man in a language it he knows. When in his language you speak to him, that goes to his heart”.
- This famous quote illustrates only so accurately the impact that language can have over individuals, communications and dispute resolution; for until individuals fully grasp each other's cultural differences, it can be weakened. Where language unites people is through a number of media: shared knowledge, education , culture, mythology and myths.
- Efforts were made in many nations to bind the country using the language. Therefore a new culture was developed, and existing regional cultures were built upon and expanded by developing a common language which the entire world could know, speak and write.
