Answers
The process of cutting the excessive plants or weeds from the field that grows along with the plants is called as weeding . The process of taking out an organ from a body and transferring it to an another body is called as transplantation.
WEEDING
In a field many other undesirable plants may grow along with the crop. These undesirable plants are called weeds. Farmers use many ways to remove weeds. Methods to control weeds are: tilling before sowing of crops, physical removal of weeds by uprooting or cutting them close to the ground, using certain chemicals called weedicides etc.
TRANSPLANTATION
The other way of establishment is not by sowing seeds but by transplanting seedlings that are grown in nurseries first. Transplanting of rice seedlings into puddled fields is widely practiced in Asia, primarily to better control weeds. Transplanting requires less seed but much more labor, and the crop takes longer to mature because of the transplanting shock.
