2. Width-Western coastal plain is 50 kilometres in width and eastern coastal plain width varies between 100 to 130 km

3.Different parts-western coast consist of three sections

a.Konkan (Mumbai to Goa)

b.Kannad plain

c.Malabar coasteastern ​coast consist of two sections a.Northern Circar(between Mahanadi and Krishna rivers)

b.​Coromandel Coast(between Krishna and Kaveri rivers)

4.Rivers-​Mahanadi, Godavari, Krishna and Kaveri

5.Lagoon-Chilika lake, Pulicat lake etc.
