Malaria is caused by a parasite by the name of Plasmodium. It has got 5 variants and the most dangerous is Plasmodium Falciparum. this parasite is responsible for 10% of the deaths. This disease is spread by the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. The parasites start multiplying in the blood or in the liver. The symptoms are high fever with chilling. the fevers will come and go. Muscle pain and headache accompany the high fever. Avoiding mosquito bites can be one way of preventing from getting infected. Avoid unnecessary storage of water.

Control: Use of quinine drug, keeping the surroundings clean, with no stagnant water, use of mosquito repellent creams, nets, can control the spread of this disease.
