Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay (12 September 1894 – 1 November 1950) was an Indian Bengali author and one of the leading writers of modern Bengali literature. His best known work is the autobiographical novel Pather Panchali (The Song of the Road), which was later adapted (along with Aparajito, the sequel) into The Apu Trilogy of films directed by Satyajit Ray.

Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay was a Bengali author from India. He is one of the preeminent authors of modern Bengali poetry. His career came to a move in the year 1922 when his first novel ‘Upekshita' got published in the Prabasi Patrika. Thereon, his career in literature began to flourish. Pather Panchali (The Song of the Road) is his well-known composition, which is an autobiographical novel. In the year 1951, he received the Rabindra Puraskar; a literary award in West Bengal for Ichhamat one of his novels.
