…Independence Day…

India became a free nation on 15th August, 1947. So, all Indians celebrate 15th August as their Independence Day. Before 15th August, 1947 India was ruled by the Britishers. They ruled us for a long time. We wanted freedom. We struggled hard. Many Indians were killed. Many were put into the jail. But we did not give up hope. Our great leaders like Gandhi, Nehru, Tilak, Subhash Chandra Bose, Rajendra Prasad and many others took part in the struggle. Their sacrifices brought Independence. So, 15th August is great importance for us. We remember and salute our great leaders on this day.
