One day I walked into my house and  was shocked to see everything in it was gone. The furniture in each room, the fans, the lights, etc. were all gone! I called out , ‘Mother, Grandmother!’ But no one replied! I went upstairs to my room! There also I found the room completely empty! I grew panicky! I ran to my neighbor’s house! I was about to cry when I was alarmed to hear the siren of the firefighters’ truck.


I rushed out. The firefighters were taken aback to see me standing at the gate of my neighbors. One of them spoke through the portable loudspeaker, ‘Hey young man get away from the house! These two houses are about to collapse!’


I ran towards the firefighters. I asked them where my family members were. One of them replied, ‘Your family and your neighbors have been shifted to some other building because your house and your neighbor’s house can collapse any time. The ground below them has caved in due to the movement of plates under your house!’


The news just petrified me! However, I was happy my family was safe!
