Once upon a time Mary and Jimmy went to have a stroll on the beach. They found a boat anchored under a tree. Mary was excited to see the boat, she said to Jimmy, “Let’s have a small ride in the boat; we won’t go far.” Jimmy, though reluctant, agreed.
He paddled the boat into the calm sea. Mary was exceedingly happy. Jimmy was looking worried as he saw dark black clouds approaching. He turned the boat to reach the safety of the shore and began paddling. However, the storm overtook them in no time. It began to blow hard and thick rain began falling. Huge waves began striking the boat. Soon it grew dark all around; a huge wave overturned their boat; Mary fell into the raging sea.
He shouted, “Mary, where are you?” Amidst roaring waves, he heard the panicked cry of Mary. He jumped into the raging sea. He was a good swimmer. He caught hold of Mary. By then she had become unconscious.
Struggling hard, he managed to swim up to the boat. He lifted Mary into the boat and steered the boat to reach the shore. The boat turned upside down again. He kept Mary afloat in his arms. Soon the rescue boat arrived and they were taken to the shore. Jimmy and Mary were safe at last.
