He entered the room looking for her, but found Sanjay, his wife’s younger brother, sitting on their bed.
Sanjay was still in his school uniform, still wearing his tie and shoes. Tears seems to be streaming down his face, as he sobbed silently.
Kunal was truly surprised to see his wife's brother in that situation, and his wife was nowhere to be found. He had already searched the entire house, and the room was the last place to look for her. His wife was usually back in time after her work.
“Sanjay, does your parents know you are here? Have you eaten anything? What’s wrong?” He entered into the kitchen and prepared a quick snack for his now brother.
There was no response from Sanjay, and he didn't touch the food that Kunal prepared. He was still waiting for his didi (sister) to come home.
Kunal coaxed him to eat his food, and somehow successfully managed to feed him.
