Answers
Answer:
Sometimes, when we sleep, we get images flashing across our minds. These images come as a result of our imagination which runs wild at night. If the series of images we see make us happy or confused, then they are dreams. On that same line, at the farthest end, there are nightmares. These series of images most often cause us fear, and sometimes, disappointment. As a growing mind, I have a fair number of both. But the worst of my nightmares would be the one in which I became an orphan.
It was day, probably two o’clock, when my nightmare began. My parents, brother and two sisters were all packed in a car, clad in casual wears. My boisterous siblings were busy prattling about what activities they would carry out at their destination. From their conversation, I picked up ‘Festival Mall’ as their destination. Suddenly, I had a prickling thought banging in my head. I tried recalling it, but it seemed to have shunted into the recesses of my psyche. I ignored the thought and turned back to their conversation. No sooner had I begun listening than the car veered to life and started the journey to Festival Mall.
In the car, my mum reminded my siblings about acting disciplined and not displaying the antics they often did at home, at the mall. Minutes floated past as I sat in the car listening to the conversations of my family members, not uttering a single word. As the view of the Mile 2 bridge appeared in front of us, I suddenly remembered the thought that had escaped me: the bridge was weak, and would collapse if more than 2000 tonnes rested on it. I looked around at the other vehicles. There were some lorries and trailers parked at the sides, some tankers and heavily-loaded buses, and, a few cars.
