He then realised that he had lost his way in his hurry.
He started to panic and pulled out his mobile phone to check for the correct route.
He was extremely annoyed to see that the phone was dead.
Wondering what to do, he finally decided to trace his route back.
He slowly walked back to the intersection where he took a right turn.
On reaching that right turn, he saw an old man sitting near the flickering street light.
The old man was looking into the distance and was taking slow drags on a cheap cigarette that was between his fingers.
Raghav walked up to the old man and asked him about the route to the bus stand.
The old man looked at him for a few minutes and blew out the smoke from his mouth.
He gravely pointed at the left turn and said that Raghav has to walk about three kilometres in that direction to reach his destination.
Raghav thanked him and started to walk along that way.
Soon, he reached the bus stand and waited for his ride home.
