WEAK BUT BRAVE!
Today on the way to school, my bus caught fire. At first, we couldn’t understand exactly what was happening. But soon, it was very clear that the bus is on fire.
We didn’t have the minds to think for a solution and what the problem could be. The only thoughts running were how to jump out of the danger. All of a sudden, it was a terrible confusion and there were two girls in the bus who were stressed out to the core and fell over unconscious. The bus was quite full and there was no way we could rush out because the fire spread from the engine to the front part of the bus where there was only one gate for the bus.
We knew there was nothing we could do rather than shouting out loud and crying for help. All of us moved and was stuck in the second half part of the bus. Our only hope there was the driver who could help, but he was actually trying to avoid the fire along with us. But then, I still believed in him because he is such a good human and he is quite brave. Or maybe I believed in him because I had no other way to have some hope in life.
And then the driver shouted, “The emergency exit! The emergency exit!”. “Can someone get me the emergency hammer? Quick!!”, he said. When I looked around I was surprised to see the hammer glass block just beside me. I pulled a strong lunch carrier(who cares whose it is), and I gave a huge blow on the glass. The glass broke and three of us were hurt. I shouted, “We got to be brave enough to fight for life”. I pulled out the hammer and passed it to the driver uncle.
He rushed to the emergency exit which is actually the glass that covers the back part of the bus. He broke the glass with a whip. And while we could hear fire engines, we were rescued with a fast rate of speed by being pushed and pulled out of the bus. We were immediately moved to a safe place.
All our belonging were destroyed. But ourselves and our families praised and thank God for his grace on us. In fact, all of us were saved. It was one such an experience which taught me so much about life. I decided to be braver and braver to face life.
