He wanted to be rthe richest man in shortest possible time. An idea came to his mind that if he cuts the stomach of the hen open, he would get all the golden eggs at once. He lost no time in putting his idea into action. He immediately bought a very long sharp knife and killed the hen. But he found no egg in its stomach. His sorrow now knew no bounds. Greed is, indeed, bad.

Once upon a time, there lived a very poor farmer in a town. He worked very hard all day to make some money for his living. Life was tough he believed. Then, one day he prayed to God and asked him for help. "O God! Please make my life easier. Grant us with your blessings and we shall always remain grateful to you!" The man prayed to God.
Next morning, when the man woke up he found a hen in his house. He was surprised to see the bird in the house. He was amazed to see the hen and wondered how she came into the house. Then suddenly, he noticed something. Near the hen, there laid a golden egg. He discovered the golden egg that the hen had laid. Like this, the farmer collects ten eggs in ten days. He was very happy at his sudden fortune. He took the egg to the market and sold it for a good price. Slowly, the condition of the farmer improved. He becomes richer. But one day, he becomes impatient and things to himself if he could have all the golden eggs that were inside the hen. He couldn't have to wait for the hen to lay a golden egg every day. He decided to kill the hen and take all the golden eggs at one go. Next day, he killed the hen and found that she was just like an ordinary hen. She had no golden eggs inside her. The greedy farmer lost the hen that laid golden eggs.
