The Frightening Prank
These days since the evolution of internet people are crossing limits to prove themselves to be “cool”. One such incident was targeted on me. It was a leisurely Sunday and I definitely had a mood for an outing. At the same week my favourite film “The Maze Runner” was released and I was quite desperate for getting tickets for that film that instance. Luckily I got one ticket and then I rushed to the cinema hall that Sunday. I was in a hurry as the movie was about to begin in nearly 10 minutes. Still, I managed to reach on time and after showing the E-Ticket I went to the cinema hall. I was in a hurry so didn't notice that pretty much all of the staff members present near the cinema hall had a strange smile on their face. Even the audience present in the hall were smiling intentionally, though they were not staring at me. I didn't care about that because the film was more important to me. Just as the movie was about to begin after the advertisements, there came to be a sudden blackout. The lights went out and there were two red glows at the top corners of the front wall, where the screen was placed. A siren along with a voice started to speak. The voice told that explosives were detected below our seats and then he said in an evil manner, “There’s no place to run”. The exits were shut by the staff members. I was so close to dying by a heart stroke when suddenly all the lights turned on and all the people were laughing at me. Two known faces came close to me and I immediately recognised that those were my buddies. It all turned out to be a gruesome prank. All of the audience was invited via a Facebook group. The prank was successful yet horrifying. One could not behold that sight especially in Mumbai. As embarrassed as I was, I came back home and it was luckily all over. The film was actually meant for Monday and the booking screen was also a prank. I hoped that these memories would last with me so that I can remember my friends.
