In concave mirror the object is placed between pole and focus. In convex mirror the object is placed in front of convex mirror to form virtual image.

Virtual images forms back side of the mirror it is an erect image. In concave mirror when the object is in between P and F the image forms back side of the mirror. In convex mirror all images are virtual images.
