Loyalty is a broad term. It may apply to a person, a family, a group, a locality, or a country. A loyal person bears a moral character and disciplined manners. He is honest and brave. He cannot be tempted to deviate from his path or virtue.

A loyal person can even sacrifice his life for the cause of his master or his country. He values his loyalty more than his own life. A loyal person is a gem in a human society.
