__If I Were In The Amazon Forest !__
__From my childhood, I have been an avid reader of adventure stories. The real life adventures of explorers fascinated me. I constantly dream of being an Explorer myself. Yesterday, I was at home alone in the evening watching a program on the Amazon forest on television. The dense forests on both sides of the mighty river are full of dangerous creatures. On the TV screen was a big spotted jaguar silently going towards pig.....
__Suddenly, I found myself behind a tree. All around me were creepers, tall grass, and leafy trees towering high above. I heard the loud chatter of monkeys and the call of unknown birds. Then I saw the jaguar, just about a yard away from me. In the half light of dense jungle, its eyes were gleaming brightly. I hit behind the tree trunk and stood completely still. The big cat head however no eyes for me. it stealthily crept forward and all of a sudden leaped a wild pig. lt caught the poor animal's neck in its powerful jaws and killed it within a second. t
Then it carried away its dead pray into the jungle.
__I was shaken badly. I looked in all directions for the way out of the forest. My vision was completely blocked by thick vegetation. I began walking cautiously and the next moment tripped on an exposed root and fell down heavily. The ground was soft and soggy. There were hundreds of small insects in that grass. As I tried to get up, a snake slithered forwards me. I was absolutely terrified and could not move. The snake came towards me silently its forked tongue was flicking in and out of its mouth....
__I heard someone calling my name. lt was mother she was shaking me. I came away slowly. The TV was still on. A monkey was chattering hanging from the branch of a tall tree. Though the dense foliage, the mighty waters of Amazon were visible....
