Once upon a time,there was a village in one of the remotest part of North-Eastern India. Although there was no governmental body or authority in that area, everyone lived their happily. Once during monsoon it rained so heavily that nearby river was flooded with water. In the past, the river never flooded in such a terrible way so the villagers were unprepared for the destruction. Over the night the water level rose up such that the flood water entered the village. As no governmental authority was there, villagers couldn't expect for any relief. However, the villagers rescued them shelves to high grounds. There was a 14 years old boy, named Govind. He also rescued himself with his family to higher grounds. The very next day he noticed frightened puppy stuck in peace of land surrounded by flood waters. He felt pity on the puppy and tried to rescue the puppy. So he asked villagers if they could help Govind to rescue the puppy. when everybody disagreed, he then tried to rescue the puppy himself. He tied himself to a tree with a rope and went to the island. He soon rescued the puppy and started retreating. But suddenly the rope broke and he felt into the water. Fortunately he was a good swimmer and struggled to reach mainland and made to his goal. The villagers appreciated bravery of Govind. He decided to adopt that puppy and friendship developed between them. Very Government reached the affected area with reliefs after two days and situation calmed down in that village.
