It was a moonlit night in early summer, about a year on from the great tsunami. As waves broke gently on a beach half-obscured in fog, Fukuji could just about make out two people walking along: a woman and a man.
Fukuji frowned. The woman was definitely his wife.
He called out her name. She turned, and smiled. Fukuji now saw who the man was, too. He had been in love with Fukuji’s wife before Fukuji had married her. Both had died in the tsunami.
Fukuji’s wife called to him, over her shoulder: ‘I am married now, to this man.’
‘But don’t you love your children?’ Fukuji cried out in reply. His wife paused at that, and began to sob.
Fukuji looked sadly at his feet for a moment, not knowing what more to say. When he looked up, the woman and the man had drifted away.
That is when she realized that they ad been dead all along and that she had been talking to a ghost...
It was midnight . I had my dinner. My parents were out of station. I was alone in my house. I was feeling bored. So, I had decided to go to my neighbor's house, Tanisha. I went to her house and saw that she was with her aunt Vinita. We watched many movies and had many delicious desserts.
After an hour, Vinita had slept. By seeing her, we both thought to sleep. I slept in Tanisha's house. Suddenly, I woke up by hearing a whispering sound by a young girl. I was talking to a young girl. Tanisha had never seen that girl before. She was wondering who is the young girl, where did she come from, etc.
Tanisha asked about her. I said that I saw this girl from the time I came in this Apartment. She asked me that why she comes in such an odd time, I replied that this girl had no house and she stays in Orphanage and those people don't allow any children to go out. That is why the girl comes after midnight. Tanisha asked her age, I said that she was five year old. Tanisha asked me that if the girl comes from the time I came, then the girl was one year old, then how she used to come that time.
I was shocked. I had never thought about this. Immediately the girl went away. Then I discovered she had been dead all along and I'd been talking to a ghost.
