Rahul, the mark scorer of his class, sat on the bench tired of asking everyone to play with him.
He took the place of a woman who had just got up from the wooden bench. he looked around at the other kids playing. The tall man next to him got up and left. The moment the tall man rounded around the corner and disapeared, Rahul got up from the bench and looked down. There, lay a black purse on the sand. He looked all around, picked it up slowly, tucked it into his pocket and left the park.
In the bus back home, Rahul was alone and opened the purse. Inside, on the left, was a man's picture, on the right, money, bank cards, and all the pin numbers for the cards.
Rahul was tempted to keep the money. He wanted to buy the novels that he kept asking his mother to buy for him.He could not decide. When he glanced at the purse once more, he came upon a note.
It said, "Money kept for mom's surgery. Pay it by XX.XX.XX."
Rahul was tempted no longer. he got down the bus, ran to the park where he found the purse and started searching for the man. He found the owner, handed over the purse to him, Mr. Mruthunjaya Das.
His gift in return for the money was what he wanted all along; the novels! This made him so happy that he understood one thing: the qoute is always true; Honesty is the best policy.
