Our maid Seema is a very diligent and hard worker. At our home in family functions I have seen her working continuously without complaining. One day when I was doing my homework I found her looking very keenly at my books. I asked her if she had been to school ever. She replied that she had attended primary school and then had to drop out due to family responsibilities.
Her father died at a young age. Being the eldest in the family she started working as a maid and discontinued her education. She wanted to get educated but could not at this physical work left her totally drained and exhausted that she could not attend the evening school where she could finish schooling.
This made me want to lend a hand to support her thus beginning her education at home. I give one hour everyday of my time to educate her. After a year she appeared for the 10th class exam under the open schooling system and pass with good marks. Now she is preparing for the senior secondary examination. Seeing her hard work and dedication , I am sure she will pass this examination with good marks also.
Seema thanks me and gives me all the credit for teaching her inspiring her to get educated. This gives me a great feeling of satisfaction that I have contributed in bettering the future of someone who deserves it. I hope and pray to God that after passing 12th Class exam Seema is able to get a better job and look forward to a better future.

I had some dirty clothes so I decided to take it to the laundromat...it was a chilly morning today...the newspaper and milk were at my doorstep...i pick them up and put the milk at the counter and take the newspaper with me...
As I walk on the front page I see there is news on the famous hearing of some guy who helped the police catch his terrorist friends as a reward the guy was going too get less sentence but that had been denied and he had been tried the same sentence they were. But he doesn't open the newspaper and keeps on walking...to the laundromat as he arrives at the red-colored two-floored building he sees an old lady is sitting their...he realizes all the machines are full...so he decides to wait as he was waiting...he looks at the old woman who is looking at the newspaper.
"I guess the only happy ending anyone can expect from life is in a massage parlor"...he laughs at the joke although later realizes the dark humor behind it and the sick timing of it...but still keeps smiling and says..."that's right ma'am"
The machine starts beeping and she gets up to remove her clothes out and as she is removing I try to read the newspaper...while I am reading it a guy comes in from the back and starts to pace here and there as if in a park... I keep my eyes buried in the newspaper...but my eyes still go up and I see him trying to steal from the old lady's purse on the bench and I yelled at him and he hears me and grabs what he can from the purse and runs...the old lady says..."I don't have any more money for the machines" I for some reason decide to run after the guy thinking today was not the cardio day...he keeps on running for two blocks and the thief moves right at a backway alley and tries to jump the fence and fails I catch him and take the money as I am taking the money I hold him. by the collar but he manages to Get rid of it, And runs the other side of the laundromat.
He thinks no matter he got the money why run again...he reaches the laundromat but doesn't see the two-floored red colored building but instead sees a crematorium...he looks around and sees whether he has come to the wrong block and is on the wrong side of the road or some explanation but doesnt...he steps inside the crematorium and where should be washing machines are chambers where bodies are kept...he steps inside and asks the manager hey where is the laundromat...the manager says there is no laundromat nearby...in fact, the nearest laundromat is 4 blocks away... confused he steps out and sees nothing he roams around a bit and tries to find the laundromat but to his failure doesnt...he also walks towards the 4 blocks away laundromat but sees this is, in fact, another one...confused and disappointed he returns home...tries to make sense of what happened today...
He sits and relaxes and he takes out the cash he stole from the robber...thinking there are no witnesses of what happened today and the only witness who was here has disappeared...along with his clothes...he thinks on it all day and his eyes doze off...
Next morning as he steps out for his morning run he does in fact see the red floored laundromat he steps inside and doesn't see anything but infact hears a strange sound of someones breathe drifting away...as he walks...at the end of the laundromat he sees the thief from yesterday with a gun in his hand and sees the old lady shot...his eyes are wide open and he keeps staring at the old woman's eyes...as life drifts away from it...the thief whistles him...and throws the gun at him... instinctively he catches it..and the thief tries to run out the back door of the laundromat...as the thief is leaving..he yells stop. or ill shoot you..he doesnt stop and he pulls the trigger but the gun doesnt fire...and he realises the guns empty and the thief steps out the building...he runs after the thief but as he is running he sees the police have come and officers keep yelling "throw the gun and push it aside with your leg and put your hands up" he tries to tell the officers " what happened but meanwhile the thief has disappeared and he still hears the officers yelling the same thing "throw the gun and push it aside with your leg and put your hands up...scared he complies to the officers the grab his hands and cuff him on his back and put him inside the car...he tries to tell them what happened... but nobody believes him..and he is sentenced jail at his hearing..he tries to tell his lawyer what happened the day before...but the lawyer thinks its best if it is not said as it would make him look crazy and would put him in the psych ward...which would be very unpleasant for him with the electric shock therapy and what not...he agrees and is sentenced guilty and is committed for seven years...
