It’s “future casting.”  

Frog’s clients hire design firm to spend weeks/months evaluating how the world could change and what products and services may be needed as a result.  

Essentially a disruption simulator.  

System involves huge research as to where things are headed envisioning worlds that embody such trends and writing fictional headlines.
