Nothing is Impossible
A soft breeze breathed through the open window, gently ruffling the curtains. It was a quiet night, and a little girl stood on the cold ledge, her soft curls framing a delicate face. The moon shone bright before her, and the calm night town with all its beauty lay in her reach. A million lights shone through the streets, and all to be heard were soft whispers echoing through the night.
She looked back at her room. A small bed lay in the wake of her lamp, neatly folded to every last detail. She yet again looked up at the night sky, this would be the perfect night for flying, and she knew she would enjoy every last minute of it.
Carefully she slipped off her soft slippers, and placed them on the floor, careful not to fall. She then made her way closer to the edge of the window. She could now feel the gentle breeze, as it blew her hair across her little cheeks.
…The night was disturbed as a loud gong filled the air. It was time. The little girl took her last step, and leaped into the night, her gown billowing around her. She smiled as the town flashed under her. She had done it, and as she faded away in the moonlight, the gong finished, and the night was yet again empty, and the window sat alone, the little girl was gone.
Somewhere not far off a little girl rolled over in her sleep, “Nothing is Impossible,” she whispered.
