Answer:

Last week our little hamlet was infiltrated by terrorists. There was fear in the elders. The government and police said they are looking after the situation well and we can live our normal life.  The principal of the girl's school insisted that all parents send the girls to the school regularly without any fear. Principal said that terrorists will not harm small local girls as they were fighting against the government. They had nothing against the innocent children.

The parents relented and the girls eagerly came to their classes unmindful of the danger. They put their trust on God. But who knew? The leader of the terrorists was not a good person, as it turned out later. They raided during last Monday night on our small hamlet. They took away sixteen people including four girls and 5 boys in their teens. No one could do anything as they carried long rifles. Unfortunately the police was not very alert at that point of time. It just happened in 20 minutes.

Now the police are seriously searching for the terrorists and the kidnapped people. But there is no use. They cannot identify the location of the terrorists. I have felt that I should do something very adventurous. I have three close friends who felt very strongly the same. We knew the region very well as we are born and brought up here. One afternoon we made a plan to search the rocks and hillocks. Without telling the parents we packed some knives, chilli and salt powders and took strong wooden sticks in our hands. We went to the school science lab and dipped our hand kerchiefs in chloroform. Two of us carried our mobiles and put them in silent mode. We then walked up the small stream of water towards the hillock.

We heard someone moving and rustling sounds from brushing against the dry bushes. Quickly, we hid ourselves and slowed our breathing. I asked my friends to wait there and I moved forward to find if the noise came from the terrorist. As I crawled forward, I could see the shoes of the terrorist. He was heading into the hillock carrying a heavy bag. Some water was dripping from it. I let him pass. I signed my friends to follow me. We then walked slowly upwards.  I remembered that there are some small caves in the rocky mountain. It immediately struck me that they may be hiding in them. The caves were closed to public as that place was dangerous due to wild animals and was prone to earthquakes.

Two of us neared the cave from one side and two from the other side. Actually there was a big rock hiding the entrance of the cave from the outside. That is why police could not find the cave. We waited till it was midnight. Then we peeked inside silently. There were six of them and one of them was sleeping on the high rock. He was the leader. There was one awake and looking around. The rest were sleeping deeply. I guess they were very tired. There were two torches on the far sides of the cave. So it was not very bright inside. Our people were mostly sleeping as they were weak, it seemed. I made a paper plane and flew it directly to my friend who was nearest to the entrance. He was alarmed and woke up. Luckily he did not shout. He glanced around and saw me. He was clever to be silent and knew what he had to do.

I asked him to wake other persons up and showed him the little finger and asked him to come outside. He then called the terrorist and told him that he had to pee. The terrorist too came outside behind my friend and stood near the entrance. I threw a stone to inside the cave. The terrorist heard the sound and turned his face back. Immediately all of us fell on him like we do in Khel Kabaddi. It was a prize catch. I took out the handkerchief and with force pressed it on the nose of the terrorist. It took him about 20 seconds to fall asleep.

We walked slowly inside and by this time all our villagers were awake and wondering what was happening. Each of our friends went to a terrorist and then put them to sleep with the handkerchief. We collected their weapons and came out of the cave. The guns were heavy. So we hid them behind a thick bush. We could not walk quickly as it was dark. After walking for 10 minutes, the signals on the mobile phone appeared. Immediately I called 100, the emergency and called the police.

Now our school teaches “Fortune favours the Brave”, by narrating our story.
