One stormy night, I was searching for snakes when I heard roaring coming from the creepy jungle next to the campsite. The roaring was coming closer, closer. It was a gorilla, and he roared loudly.

I was climbing up a tall tree when the gorilla spotted me. It was an ugly hairy gorilla. It was using its hands to pull the tree down.

Then it tried shaking the tree. The hairy gorilla started climbing the tall tree. I jumped down. I screamed and ran to the river and jumped into a canoe and started paddling over to the other side of the river. The storm was getting closer and I lost sight of the gorilla. Then lightning struck and hit the river which was infested with electric eels.

I jumped out of the canoe and entered the dark jungle as it started to rain heavily and I needed to find shelter.

I started to make shelter with branches and leaves. Soon I fell asleep.

I awoke to the sound of strange bird calls. It was most likely to have been toucans. They are fruit eaters so I guessed there must have been fruit around. It didn't take me long to find a blue berry bush. I stuffed my mouth with juicy blue berries. I jumped back into my canoe and I made my way back to the campsite and I told my parents' what had happened to me.

I don't think I will ever go camping again.
