There IS a sun at night. It doesn’t go anywhere. Are you asking what would happen if the sun never set? This is almost exactly what happens in the Arctic circle every summer. The sun actually does set, but not fully and it never really gets dark. I have experienced this in summer in Stockholm to some extent. The sun does set, but not until around 11 O′clock at night, and then it rises fully at around 4:30 a.m. Further north, the situation gets much more extreme. It can certainly make sleeping a challenge- you need really good curtains.
