The people of the present world have made great progress. Everyone seems to be very busy. In the olden days life was not so fast and people had time to spend time together and express their love and friendship. Nowadays time is considered very important and people spend less time with each other in relaxed surroundings. So sometimes it may seem that values do not exist. But that is not so. Even today the values like loyalty and friendship exist.
Mohit and Rohit were great friends. But it so happened that they became competitors in games. Both were good players and were made the leaders of two different teams. It was a healthy competition and games were played in a sporting spirit. The two teams used to wish best of luck to each other before the game and after the game they would shake hands, irrespective of the fact of who won and who lost.
Akash was a good player but he did not get a chance to become the leader of any team. He was jealous of Mohit and Rohit. So he tried to break their friendship. Unfortunately his plans worked and Mohit and Rohit separated. One day when Mohit threw the ball it hit Rohit's face and he was injured badly. Rohit could not play for two months and his team lost. Even though Mohit tried to convince him that he had not done it on purpose, Rohit did not believe him and was very unhappy.
After six months there was an annual Inter School Games Contest. The leader for the school's team had to be selected. It would either be Mohit or Rohit. Everyone expected Mohit to play well and be chosen to represent the school in the contest because Rohit had just recovered from his injury.
When the game for the selection of the right candidate took place, on purpose Mohit let Rohit win the game. Rohit was chosen to represent the school in the Inter School Games Contest.
Rohit took Mohit aside and asked him why he did that. Mohit said that he valued his friendship more than winning the game. Rohit was touched. Once again they became true friends.
