We are asked to write a story to illustrate that having a good name is better than riches. The story to illustrate this fact is as under:

There was a land where everyone used to live happily as friends. Once in this land, there was a famine. Everything was destroyed and the poor felt it the hardest.

There was one small girl whose parents had died in this famine. She was barely five years old and she was all alone. So she decided to go to her father's landlord. When she went to the landlord's house looking for help the landlord told her that you have to work then only she can stay in this house.

She started working for the landlord as she had no other go. The landlord had three male servants. One of them could not see her work as she was so small. He went up to the landlord and promised him that he would do all the work that the girl was doing if he would pay him the same salary he was paying the girl.

As the landlord was paying the girl very little and knew that this man can do a much better job he agreed immediately. This man took the girl home and worked very hard and send her to a hostel to study.

The girl loved studies and became a doctor. Then she called the man who had taken such good care of her and she made him live very comfortably. She did not even look at the landlord who was suffering from many diseases by that time even though she was a doctor.

So we must always try to have a good name instead of riches. If the landlord would have loved the girl like his daughter she would have taken such good care of him now.
