Once upon a time there lived a hare and tortoise in a jungle. Hare was a fast animal. It runs fast. Tortoise was a slow animal. It walks slowly. Hare was very proud of himself. He insulted tortoise with harsh and mean words. So, they decided to race. The race began. Hare ran faster and covered most of the distance. So he decided to rest for a while as he knew that the tortoise was slow and it would take a long time for the tortoise to reach the end. At last the tortoise won the race.

LESSON: Hare learns a lesson. We should never be proud of ourselves. Pride can even lead to death.
