Hard work pays
Keshav was a poor boy with a great intelligence. An orphan since childhood he stayed with his uncle and aunt. They weren't unkind but they too were so poor with five children to feed that all they could offer Keshav was to sleep on the verandah over a tattered mattress.
Keshav was an optimistic and extremely hard working lad. In the morning he distributed paper and milk and went to school. In the evening he worked at a garage.
With the money he got he paid his fees and gave the rest to his aunt to support the family whilst his aunt served him two stale chapatis and a chillie every evening.
His days were scraping through between work and school when suddenly the Board registration came. That meant a lot of money to be deposited. Keshav did not know what to do. He went up to the Principal for financial help but the Principal had no funds to spare.
He then went to his employer at the garage- Mr. Kulkarni. Mr. Kulkarni was a kind and understanding man. He paid the fees and after the boards got over , he admitted Keshav to a good school for higher studies.
Keshav came out with flying colours. Mr. Kulkarni then advised him to take the Entrance test for Engineering.
Keshav cracked that too. Now was needed a huge investment. But Mr. Kulkarni didn't stop funding. To honour him Keshab took up Automobile Engineering.
After graduation Keshav got an excellent job in a renowned car company and to show his gratitude to Mr. Kulkarni, who was like a God-father to him, Keshav recommended Mr. Kulkarni's garage as the testing centre of the company.
Mr. Kulkarni is now a rich man with a reputed garage and Keshav in his own way has paid him all the money he had lent.
Thus hard work always pays and good men are always rewarded!
