Once upon a time,there was a great emperor who became old to rule.He has no heir to make him as a king so, he decides to choose a successor as the next king, emperor to rule his nation.He called some of the young people to his palace and gave them some seeds to each and told them to grow and to come back after one year.
Ling was also one of the young people, all the people came with healthy grown plants,but Ling came with an empty pot.Then all abused Ling that he hasn't take care of his plant and he cannot take care of his nation also,so he can't be the king.
After sometime,the emperor pronounced Ling as the king.All the people were amazed at the king's announcement.
The emperor had given all of them boiled seeds.As the boiled seeds do not germinate and hence,it clearly shows that the young people were replaced that plants with healthy plants, whereas Ling only tried to get the plant from the seed and came to the palace with an empty pot.
So,he was rewarded for his honesty and had been given the highest authority.So, honesty is the best quality and people who are honest will be successful and happy in his/her life.
