Title : The Thirsty Crow

Once upon a time, it was a very hot and bright day, which shows that summer has arrived. The sun was shining really bright, a crow was living in the forest. That day, the crow was very thirsty, it was searching for water. When there's summer, most of the villagers suffer from drought. Them what about the animals and birds? Their situation is worse too. The crow went here and there, and where not? But it couldn't find a drop of water. It travelled for long and finally lost hope. It layed on the floor undisturbed for a while. It got up again and found a pitcher near to the place where it slept. But unfortunately, the pitcher had less water in it. Still, the crow wasn't sad or hopeless. It didn't lose hope. An idea came through it's mind. It collected few pebbles nearby and threw them into the pitcher, one by one. The water rose up, and the crow was really happy. It drank the water, and quenched its thirst and flew away into the blue.

Moral : Think and work hard, you will find solution to any problem.

• Wits of a poor crow

Rampur village was considered to be the hottest place in Pune District. People there, used to wander here and there in search of water. But to no avail, they had to return home.

On a very hot day, in Summer, a poor thirsty crow flew over the village fields in search of atleast a pinch of water to drink! For a long time, he didn't find any thing. Poor crow lost all hopes and thought that he'll die soon without water! He made his mind and started to go away somewhere. Yes! Yes, he saw something out there! He could see some water inside a jug !

The crow quickly went near there to survive by drinking some water, He tried to push his head into the jug. Sadly, he wasn't able to drink the water! The neck of the jug was too narrow.

He tried to push the jug and tilt it so that water would flow out. But nope, he failed to do the same as the jug was heavy. The poor Crow thought hard for a bit. Whst he saw near him, were some pebbles!

Yep! An idea struck his mind! He came across a good idea! He picked up the pebble with his beak and dropped one by one into the jug. As more and more were the pebbles, the water level rose up! Very soon, it was high enough for the crow to drink the water. His plan worked! He was so happy and flew away with satisfaction.

Moral : Use your wits to get the solution to any problem.
