Story "Darkness of heart" revolves around Marlowe and his travel to meet Kurtz. He gets a job as a riverboat captain. From the company, he is send to Congo for trade purposes. There he notices the brutal treatment of black forms from white people. He feels bad but does not pay much attention. In Congo, he is told by the company center that his steamboat is sunk and it will take 3 months to repair the boat. One day, he listens to the manager of the company talking to another person about Kurtz. kurtz is an employee of the company. He says that Kurtz is a humble, kind-hearted and wealthy. He is missing for some time. He has adopted the traditions of Congo tribes. manager calls him mad. He indicates that another white Russian is helping Kurtz. This chat creates curiosity in Marlowe. He decides to meet Kurtz. When the boat is repaired, Marlowe move toward camp where Kurtz uses to live. during their voyage, he sees a French ship attacking Congo tribe. When he reaches his destination, he meets the Russian. He tells Marlowe that Kurtz has become very ill and people of Congo are very close to Kurtz. They will not allow him to take Kurtz away. Marlowe tell Russian that other white people want to hang him up. After listening that he runs away. Than Marlowe and his colleagues meet Kurtz. Marlowe finds Kurtz nice but ill man. when he takes Kurtz with him, Congo tribes become disturbed and emotional. during the voyage, Kurtz handle him over his personal letters. Their steamboat again gets out of order. During this, Kurtz dies. Marlowe returned back to Europe. The lawyer of the company comes to take letters of Kurtz that he denies to give. After that he meets a cousin, friend and girlfriend of Kurtz. In the end, his girlfriend asks that where was the last words of Kurtz. He says that in last he recalls her. she begins to cry.
