-  Bhramaputra River: It is one of the longest river of India with a total length of about 2900 km. It flows through Tibet and adjoining areas prior to entering in India through Arunanchal Pradesh.
- Indus River is another important river in India though major portion of it flows through Pakistan. It originates at Lake Mansarovar in Tibetian plateau and then runs through laddakh valley in Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.
