PITUITARY Gland -- the master Gland
this Gland controls all the activities of other glands.
location: located at the base of the brain
some of the hormones produced by it:
1. luteinizing hormone
2. adrenocorticotropic hormone
3. thyroid stimulating hormone
4. follicle stimulating hormone
5.human growth hormone
6.prolactin
7.oxytocin
8.antidiuretic hormone
it produces hormones to stimulate other Glands especially for growth to produce thyroxine, adrenaline etc.
